JMSA supports the Hamilton-Madison House 42nd Annual June Lee Chinatown Banquet

On Thursday September 29th, 2022, The Hamilton-Madison House hosted its 42nd Annual June Lee Chinatown Banquet in NYC. Hamilton-Madison House is a non-profit settlement house established in 1898 to improve the quality of life for NYC. JMSA community outreach program (JCOP) has supported the Hamilton-Madison House Japanese Clinic with a JCOP grant since 2007. The HMH Japanese Clinic offers affordable mental health care to the Japanese and Japanese- American community as well as care to uninsured patients suffering with severe mental health issues. The first photo is of JMSA President, Maki Kano-Lueckerath, Board member, Lydia Horiguchi and Executive Secretary Yoshio Kano with Bill Ritter, news anchor of ABC news who was the MC of the event. The second photo is of Maki Kano-Lueckerath and Lydia Horiguchi with CeFaan Kim, newscaster from ABC news who was honored at the June Lee Banquet. He was recognized for supporting the issues impacting the AAPI community, especially reporting the spike in anti-Asian hate crimes. JMSA supported the event as a Friends of HMH dinner benefactor this year.
