A new digital initiative with Japan Society of New York, called “Tea Time”

JMSA President, Dr. Robert Yanagiswa highlighted the inaugural episode of a new digital initiative with Japan Society of New York, called “Tea Time.”  Per Japan Society, it has been viewed more than 4,000 times as a run away success.

Dr. Yanagiswa states he wanted to share his personal experience not only as one of the 1st Covid 19 Repose Team member at his hospital, but also in light of him supporting survivors of 9/11 Terrorist Attacks as well as 3/11 Great East Japan Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Disasters for all these years.

A 9/11 survivor said “The tea time interview is fantastic. I really appreciated your describing the trajectory from preparation, to crisis and then the marathon to come. I’m very happy to hear that it never felt chaotic at Mount Sinai which is a tribute to the strength of the institution. I also liked the way you talked about 9/11 and 3/11, and especially the way you said that we have learned from the other disasters that we as human beings can get through this. In the beginning it didn’t seem so certain because it was so shocking, but now I can also see a path forward.”
