Dr. Akira Nishisaki is currently a critical care attending at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). (Click here for Dr. Nishisaki’s bio)
He received a 2008 JMSA-Honjo Foundation Scholarship to conduct a remote simulation project between Tokyo’s Nihon Igaku Kyoiku Gakkai and CHOP to train pediatricians in Japan.

The following are photographs from a simulation where Dr. Nishisaki is in CHOP, remotely operating a simulator located in Tokyo, with real-time audiovisual feedback. The team is resuscitating an infant with respiratory distress progressing into cardiac arrest.
