- Psychiatrist ・ 精神科医 (MD/DO):
- A medical doctor who specializes in mental health. They can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for mental health conditions. Some also provide psychotherapy.
- 心の健康を専門とする医師。精神疾患の診断・治療を行い、薬を処方することができます。一部の精神科医は心理療法（カウンセリング）も提供しています。
- Psychologist ・ 心理学者 (PhD/PsyD):
- A licensed professional trained in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions through therapy and psychological testing. They cannot prescribe medication.
- 心理療法や心理検査を通じて精神的な問題を診断・治療する専門家。薬の処方はできません。
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker ・ 臨床ソーシャルワーカー (LCSW, LMSW):
- Mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy, case management, and advocacy. They often take a holistic, systems-based approach to care. They cannot prescribe medication.
- 心理療法、ケースマネジメント、アドボカシーに従事する専門職。本人だけでなく家族や環境を含めた全体的・システム的なアプローチを用いることが多いです。薬の処方はできません。
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor / Licensed Professional Counselor ・ 公認メンタルヘルスカウンセラー／公認プロフェッショナルカウンセラー (LMHC, LPC, LCPC):
- Licensed clinicians trained to provide psychotherapy for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. They cannot prescribe medication.
- 不安、うつ、トラウマなど幅広い問題に対して心理療法を提供するライセンス取得者。薬の処方はできません。
- Psychotherapist ・ サイコセラピスト（心理療法士）:
- A general term for licensed professionals (e.g., LPC, LCPC, LMFT) who provide talk therapy to individuals, couples, or groups to address emotional and mental health concerns. They cannot prescribe medication.
- 一般的な呼称で、LPC、LCPC、LMFTなどの資格を持つ専門職を含みます。個人、カップル、グループに対してトークセラピーを行い、感情的・精神的な課題に対応します。薬の処方はできません。
