About the Grant

The Japanese Medical Society of America (JMSA), based in New York, proudly introduces a
new grant program to support clinical research education for young pediatric physicians in
Japan
.
Inspired by Dr. Tsuneo Nishisaki, a dedicated internist who served the community of Nagoya,
the grant honors his legacy through the advancement of pediatric critical care.

A Vision for the Future

life-saving care, young physicians need global research exposure and training.”

This grant offers opportunities for young Japanese physicians to participate in PALISI Network
conferences in North America — the largest bi-annual clinical investigators meeting in pediatric
critical care (www.palisi.org).

Grant Details

  • Applications Open: August 1, 2025
  • Eligibility: Japan-based early-career pediatric critical care clinicians
  • Support Provided: Education funding for 1–2 awardees annually to attend the PALISI annual conference
