On Thursday 12/8/22, JMSA hosted a festive wine and cheese holiday gathering. Thanks to Dr. Yuzuru Anzai, the event was held at his office in midtown and attended by JMSA Board Members, members, prospective members and friends of JMSA. This was the first wine and cheese in several years since Dr. Anzai originated the JMSA wine and cheese gatherings during his Presidency from 2014 to 2018. Everyone who attended had a wonderful time connecting with each other.
Dr. Maki Kano-Lueckerath, the new President of JMSA, welcomed the guests and stated that JMSA hopes to hold such informal gatherings two to three times a year moving forward. These wine and cheese receptions provide an informal and enjoyable way for JMSA members to come together as well as a great forum for prospective members to learn more about JMSA.
A special thanks to Ms. Lydia Horiguchi, the JMSA Social Committee Chairperson and long time board member and to Ms. Marie Simonca, a friend of JMSA. Together they prepared a delicious cheese platter that was enjoyed by all and helped to organize the event. A big thanks Dr. Anzai for allowing us to hold the event at this office as well as to Dr. Mio Sawai, a new JMSA Board member. Dr. Sawai practices ob-gyn and works with Dr. Anzai in his practice and she helped to organize the event. Finally, a special thanks to Mr. Yoshio Kano, JMSA Executive Secretary, for his help to make the event a great success.
Thanks to all those who attended! We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and looking forward to connecting in the new year!
