The JMSA honors students in the medical professions who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to the values of the Japanese Medical Society of America.\u00a0\u00a0Scholarship awards are presented at the JMSA Annual Spring Dinner each year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honjo-JMSA Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dan Ebner (Brown University School of Medicine)- A carbon-ion radiotherapy study at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) in Chiba, Japan<\/p>\n

Shoko Mori (SUNY Downstate College of Medicine)- JMSA Journal Club for Japanese students, researchers, residents, and physicians to come together<\/p>\n

Yoshiko Toyoda (Weill Cornell Medical College)- Create a JMSA Women in Health Sciences group<\/p>\n

Kuro Murase MD-JMSA Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Takuto Takahashi, MD (Pediatric Resident at SUNY Downstate)- Develop mentorship for pediatric trainees to advance post-graduate training in Japan<\/p>\n

Takeshi Uemura, MD (Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine Fellow at Mount Sinai)- Enhance communication between doctors and seriously ill patients<\/p>\n

Halley Kaye-Kauderer (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai)- Study the resilient behaviors and post-traumatic growth of Fukushima medical students<\/p>\n

Kenny Nakazawa (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai)- Organize JMSA career panel as guidance for prospective student members<\/p>\n

Mika Tabata (Stanford University School of Medicine)- Initiate discussion and exchange of knowledge between the US and Japan related to early examination of skin cancer<\/p>\n
