Johnson Hospitalにて、臓器移植後感染症・一般感染症などを主に診療する傍ら、昨年よりCOVID19患者の診療やワクチン推進なども、専門医として深く関わっている。 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n柳澤 ロバート 貴裕 医師 Dr. Robert Yanagisawa\, MD \n\n\n\nマウントサイナイ内分泌内科教授、米国日本人医師会長、東京女子医科大学 招待教授、東北大学医学部 臨床教授 \n\n\n\n1994年米国ブラウン大学医学部卒業、米国内科研修を終え、一時帰国し日本の医師免許も取得。マサチューセッツ大学にて内分泌科フェローを終え、2001年よりニューヨーク、マウントサイナイ医科大学に勤務。9.11同時多発テロ事件を目前で体験。救援活動の暴露により甲状腺がんのリスクが約2倍に増えた警察官や消防士なども定期的に診療している。全米トップクラスの内分泌科研修プログラムの主任として50人以上の内分泌科専門医を育てた。現在マウントサイナイ内分泌内科教授で医学生の国際医療の指導に励む。東日本大震災当時は米国日本人医師会副会長として40人のボランチア医療支援チームを日本のDMATと展開。震災後間もない南三陸、仙台、福島を訪問して、長期的な災害医療の必要性を感じた。その後被災地で心のケアと身体のケアを合体させた、総合的災害医療を推進。9.11家族会を毎年ニューヨークから訪日させ、現地の医療チームと共に東北各地で対話交流を持たせ、双方の被災者に復興への勇気と希望を与えた。2015年には日本国際交流センター(JCIE)から、「世界の災害に応用しうる革新的な事例の4選」に選ばれ、2016年にはニューヨークAsia Societyにて約250人の観衆に3.11 and 9.11 Survivor Storiesを紹介した。2020年3月、新型コロナのパンデミックでは、感染患者数2000人を超える勤務先の大学病院でコロナ病棟を担当。その経験を早期に日本の大学病院などにも紹介。これからも日米医療の交流を通して双方の医療や医学教育の向上に貢献して行きたいと思う。 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n【お問合せ】 info@nipponclub.org

DESCRIPTION:未来を拓く  \n今年で４回目となりますサイエンスフォーラムは、開催ごとに出席者の数も増え、ニューヨークの日本人社会に広く受け入れられたものと自負しています。\n日本人医師会と、日本学術振興会の共催でありますが、内容はボランティアとして参加していただいている運営委員の方々が、力を合わせ、知恵を絞って練り上げたものです。同時に、これまでご参加いただいた皆様からの意見もできるだけ取り入れて、より良いものにしたいと努力しています。\n\nいわゆる純粋な学会を求められる方には、内容が期待していたものとは異なるとのご指摘もいただきました。しかし、私どもとしては、科学者の方々の交友の場を設けさせていただく事、そして素晴らしい研究成果を専門外あるいは一般の方々にも紹介させていただく事の二つに主眼を置いて運営していきたいと思っています。\n同時に、学術振興会のご協力をいただき、そして、日本医療研究開発機構からも、励ましのお言葉をいただきましたので、科学者の皆様のキャリアの飛躍発展に少しでもお役に立つ事ができればとも願っています。\n\n皆さん、ふるってご参加ください。\n\n米国日本人医師会\n会長　安西　弦
