Volunteers needed!
On Saturday, June 2nd (the day before the first "Japan Day" in Central Park), the Special Olympics New York (SONY) will hold the 19th Annual Metro Tournament at Riverbank State Park. Over 1200 athletes will be competing in aquatics, basketball, track & field, volleyball, and power-lifting.
Pro sports stars, celebrities, dignitaries, and of course cheering
families and spectators will be supporting. JMSA members can also make a
contribution to the SONY events through the Healthy Athletes program.
Throughout the day, volunteers give athletes free medical screenings
and advice.
