On May 31st 2008 at Riverbank State Park, New York, there will be over 1,000 athletes competing for gold, silver and bronze in five Special Olympics Sports: aquatics, basketball, athletics (track & field), volleyball and power lifting. Joining the athletes will be professional sports stars, local dignitaries, thousand family members, volunteers, cheering spectators and corporate sponsors. The Special Olympics athletes will welcome and share with all who attend the excitement of sports competition and the sheer joy of the human spirit. Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm. No admission charge.
