article_craneFrom May 17th to 25th, the Committee on Aging Issues at the Japanese American Association of New York and Japanese Medical Support Network will hold the first Health Week program, a new health related series of events especially for the Japanese population of the New York area.

Events will be held at the Japanese American Association of New York, 15 West 44th Street, 11th floor, New York, NY.

The events are in response to many requests from Japanese community after the great success of the Health Check Service by JAMSNET on Japan Day and the Senior Week Event in September 2007. Many lectures, free services, and panel discussions will be scheduled.

Some of the sessions are already scheduled to be generated by JMSA members. A lecture on gynecologic diseases by Dr. Yuzuru Anzai, a lecture on pain medicine by Dr. Kinichi Shibutani, a lecture on general health check-up by Dr. Kamal Ramani are some of the examples of many events by JMSA. Anyone who has an excellent idea to contribute to the events is welcome.
