The JMSA was commended by the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs for year 2008.  The commendation is reserved for select individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to international relationships between Japan and other countries.  This is a high honor and the JMSA is pleased to be recognized for the contributions it makes both to those living in the United States and to the international relationship between the U.S. and Japan through the field of medicine.
